What is i-Payments?

i-Payments is a payment service provider that caters to online merchants.

Can i-Payments be used in a face-to-face or card present environment?

No. We only provide services for card-not-present environment.

What are the security measures implemented by i-Payments system?

i-Payments uses a world-class, state-of-the-art payment technology platform; PCI-DSS level 1 certified. It also supports 3DS and real-time fraud screening.

Can i-Payments be used for products or services with low price point?

Yes. For as long as you agreed with the fees provided by i-Payments.

Do you provide shopping cart solution?

No. i-Payments is not a shopping cart provider.

Will i-Payments provide a support team that can handle my queries?

Yes, a dedicated support team will be available to assist you with your queries.

Can my customers bear the fees charged to me by i-Payments?

You have an option to do this by inlcuding the fees in the authorization amount.

Application

How do I apply for i-Payments service?

Application is a simple and quick process. You may click here to apply online and an Account Manager will contact you to further assist you and provide you with any support needed.

Can I be approved if I am a startup company?

Yes. As long as you are qualified, you will be approved.

Will i-Payments be able to support my business type?

What makes i-Payments unique is that we also offer flexible solutions even to high-risk merchants. A high-risk industry is defined as an industry that historically deals with more chargebacks and fraud, thus have difficulty obtaining merchant accounts. Whereas most credit card processors reject applications from high-risk merchants, i-Payments does not discriminate. By working with diverse businesses, we have experience in all types of so-called high-risk businesses and we understand the complexity of getting you approved.

How long is the on-boarding process?

We can get you pre-approved as fast as 1 to 2 days. However, for non-standard businesses, this may take a while. It would be best that you are able to provide us all the requirements during application for faster assessment.
Going LIVE would depend on how fast your developers could integrate into our platform.

What are your available payment methods?

We offer a wide variety of payment methods from "Card Payment Service" such as VISA, MasterCard, and ChinaUnion Pay to "Alternative Payment Methods" like SOFORT, Online/Local Bank transfers, and Bitcoin. The full list of available payment methods is listed in our Merchant Pre-application Form.

Payment methods are subject to change without prior notice and might not be offered to certain industries.

What are the documents or website requirements needed for my application?

The required documents and website requirements are listed in i-Payments Merchant Pre-application Form.

I am managing multiple sites. Do I need a separate contract for each?

It can be combined in one agreement for as long as the websites are owned by same company.

Is your service available for sole proprietors?

We are open in accepting sole proprietor businesses for as long as you can provide proof of business and website ownership.

Can I apply if my business does not have a website yet?

A website is required to integrate with i-Payments.

System Integration

How do I integrate into the system?

We will provide you the TEST API (Application Programming Interface) documentation to connect to the test system. After the test integration has been validated, we will provide you LIVE API documentation for live system integration.

When can I start using i-Payments gateway?

Once the agreement has been signed and you have completed the integration imto our gateway, you can immediately start processing.

What are your supported integration method?

We have COPYandPAY and Server-to-Server integration.

What are the supported programming language of your gateway?

i-Payments uses REST API and supports curl, C#, Groovy, java, node.js, php, python, ruby, scala and vb.net.

What is TLS?

Transport Layer Security (TLS) is a protocol that ensures privacy between communicating applications and their users on the internet. When a server and client communicate, TLS ensures that no third party may eavesdrop or tamper with any message. TLS is the successor to the Secure Sockets Layer (SSL).

Did PCI 3.1/3.2 make a change regarding TLS?

Per PCI DSS v3.1 and v3.2, SSL and early TLS (TLS v1.0) are no longer considered strong encryption protocols, due to vulnerabilities in these protocols to which there are no fixes. While TLS v1.1 and above are currently PCI compliant, our requirement is to use TLS v1.2.

How long does it take to authorize a credit card payment?

Payment Authorization is done in real-time.

Risk Management/Settlement

How often can I receive my settlement?

Our standard settlement is on a weekly basis. However, you have an option to choose next day settlement option with corresponding fees. Please contact us for more info.

Is there a way to prevent unauthorized transaction?

i-Payments have a Risk Management system in place, to combat fraudulent activities. Automated system and tools are used to identify and prevent such activities.

What is 3D Secure?

3D Secure adds an authentication step for online payments to improve online transaction security and encourage the growth of e-commerce payments. Collectively Visa, MasterCard and AMEX secure systems are brand identities of the 3-D Secure Cardholder Authentication Scheme.

Is refund possible?

We process refunds on behalf of the merchant. If the merchant has a request to refund or cancel the transaction of their customers, they need to fill out the refund request form and submit it to us.

How can I check my transactions?

You can easily track your payments in real-time using the gateway’s Business Intelligence Platform (BIP). The reporting functionalities of the system will also help you to expand your data quality and analyze your payments.
